What We Collect

QRGen is designed to be privacy-friendly. We collect minimal data to provide our service:

  • QR code content: The data you enter (URLs, text, WiFi details, etc.) is processed to generate your QR code. Free-tier codes are generated client-side and are not stored on our servers.
  • Payment information: If you subscribe to a premium plan, payment is processed securely by Stripe. We never see or store your full card details.
  • Analytics: We use Google Analytics to understand how people use the site (page views, general location, device type). This data is anonymised and aggregated.
  • Cookies: We use essential cookies to remember your theme preference and subscription status. Google Analytics sets its own cookies.

What We Don't Do

  • We don't sell your data to anyone
  • We don't require an account to use the free tier
  • We don't track individual QR code scans on the free tier
  • We don't send marketing emails (we don't collect your email unless you subscribe)

Third-Party Services

Your Rights

Under GDPR and UK data protection law, you have the right to access, correct, or delete any personal data we hold about you. Since we collect very little data, there's usually not much to delete. If you have a premium subscription, you can cancel it at any time.
